Safety Guidelines
Safety is at the heart of Joiin. Whether you’re driving or riding, these guidelines help protect everyone in our community. Please follow them every time you Joiin a ride.
1. Verified People Only
Joiin is a closed network for professionals.
Only verified users from approved companies can join rides.
No plus-ones, unregistered friends, or third-party passengers.
If someone looks unfamiliar or unverified, don’t proceed with the ride. Report it.
2. Drive Like a Pro
Drivers must meet a higher standard because you’re responsible for lives.
Obey all traffic laws.
No speeding, reckless driving, or phone use while driving.
Keep both hands on the wheel. Avoid eating, texting, or any distractions.
3. Buckle Up, Every Time
Seatbelts are required for all occupants.
The ride doesn’t start until everyone is buckled up. No exceptions.
Refuse to ride if a seatbelt isn’t available or used properly.
4. Zero Tolerance for Substances
No alcohol, drugs, smoking, or vaping in the vehicle
If you suspect a driver is under the influence, cancel the ride immediately and report it.
5. Share Your Trip Responsibly
Let friends or family know if you feel unsure.
Use Joiin’s app to track your ride. Don’t share your location through other platforms.
If anything feels off, trust your instinct. You can cancel or report without penalty if safety is a concern.
6. Maintain Your Vehicle
Drivers, your car is your responsibility.
Make sure it’s roadworthy and regularly serviced.
Tyres, brakes, lights, and wipers must be in good condition.
Keep your licence disc and insurance up to date.
7. Pick Up and Drop Off Safely
Choose safe, visible pickup points. Avoid isolated or unsafe areas.
Don’t stop in the middle of the road or in illegal locations.
If you’re unsure, use the app to call or message and agree on a safe alternative.
8. Speak Up When Something’s Not Right
If you feel unsafe, say something. We’ll listen.
Report any behaviour that makes you uncomfortable or puts you at risk.
We take every report seriously and act quickly to keep the community safe.

Emergencies
In case of immediate danger or an accident, call 10111 for emergency services first.
Then report the incident through Joiin for follow-up support.We’re all responsible for safety, but Joiin is here to help when it matters most.
