Community Guidelines
Joiin helps professionals commute together — safely, reliably, and respectfully. These guidelines set the standard for how we treat each other, how we use the platform, and how we create a trusted, company-backed ride-sharing community.
These aren’t just rules — they’re values we ride by.
1. Be Considerate. Always.
We share rides with colleagues and professionals from other companies. Respect makes the ride better for everyone.
Greet your rider or driver politely.
Respect personal space and boundaries.
Avoid behaviour that could make someone uncomfortable — including inappropriate jokes, comments, or gestures.
Treat every ride like you’re on your way to a meeting.
2. Keep It Safe and Professional
Safety is non-negotiable. Everyone deserves to feel secure in a Joiin ride.
Drivers must obey all traffic laws and drive responsibly.
Seatbelts are required for everyone — no exceptions.
No alcohol, drugs, or smoking during rides.
Riders and drivers must be verified employees of a participating company.
3. Show Up, Clean Up
Rides only work if everyone respects each other’s time and space.
Be on time — your ride depends on it.
Keep the car tidy. Don’t leave rubbish behind.
If you’re a driver, make sure your car is clean, roadworthy, and comfortable.
4. Respect the Platform
Joiin is a tool for commuting — not for advertising, spamming, or collecting personal info.
Don’t promote services, sell products, or spam users.
Never record or share a fellow rider’s information without their permission.
Use the app as intended — for verified, scheduled, work-related commutes only.
5. Fair Contributions Only
Joiin supports SARS-compliant reimbursements — this means riders contribute fairly to shared costs, and drivers are not making a profit.
All contributions must go through Joiin’s secure payment system.
No cash, no outside payments.
If you’re a driver, you’re not running a taxi — you’re helping someone get to work.
6. You Represent More Than Yourself
When you use Joiin, you represent your company, your team, and our growing professional community.
Use professional language and behaviour at all times.
If a problem arises, report it — don’t escalate it.
Joiin partners with companies to keep our platform safe. Serious misconduct may be reported to your employer.
If Something Goes Wrong
We take reports seriously. Depending on the situation, we may issue a warning, suspend your account, or remove you from the platform. In serious cases, we may notify your company.
If you ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable, please report it immediately in the app or email support@joiin.co.za.
Let’s make every ride a good one.
We’re building more than just a commute — we’re building community.
Thanks for riding with respect.
