Reimbursement Reversals

Joiin is a cost-sharing platform, not a transport provider. Users contribute toward shared fuel and vehicle wear-and-tear costs. In certain situations, Joiin may reverse that contribution:

Eligible for Reimbursement Reversal

  1. Driver Unavailable at Agreed Time

    If the driver doesn't arrive within 10 minutes and no alternative match is found, your contribution will be credited back to your Joiin Wallet.

  2. Trip Coordination Issue

    If technical or system issues prevent the ride from being matched or completed.

  3. Advance Rider Cancellation
    • Full reversal if rider cancels 2+ hours before the trip
    • 50% if cancelled between 1–2 hours
    • No reversal if cancelled less than 1 hour before departure
  4. Technical Glitches

    Double-charges or payment errors will be reviewed and reversed after validation.

Non-Reversible Contributions

  • If the ride was completed successfully
  • Rider canceled too late
  • Rider was a no-show
  • Contributions already reimbursed to the driver

Reimbursement Reversal Method

  • Joiin Wallet credit is returned instantly
  • Card/Apple Pay contributions reversed within 5–7 business days
  • You'll see your contribution status under Ride History > Contribution > Wallet Activity
